A simple answer of who we are?  We're family. FOTO is family.

It's not often a group of kids gets to help save the lives of another group of kids -- but in FOTO, that's exactly what we get to do. FOTO is a special interest organization that raises money for the Penn State Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON), which benefits Four Diamonds in the fight against pediatric cancer.

FOTO was established in September, 2009 by three students who were committed to THON and its purpose. Today, FOTO is comprised of hundreds of students who continue the battle against pediatric cancer with that same commitment.

To date, FOTO has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and has placed in the Top 5 Special Interest Organizations for fundraising over the last several years. Just as importantly, we've grown our relationships with our Four Diamonds Families, the Knapers and the Eslingers, as well as with each other.

We fundraise, we support our families, we have fun, and we have our lives changed by our little heroes. For the kids, always.

When they say, ‘WE ARE PENN STATE,’ this is what they are talking about.

What We're about

FOTO is a group of fun-loving, excited, outgoing college students that is passionate about THON and its families. We participate in canister solicitations (better known as "canning"), bake sales, THON sports and entertainment events, and other charity fundraisers. While raising money, awareness, and support for THON and the fight against pediatric cancer is our primary goal, we still love to be normal college kids. We host weekly meetings, hang out on weekends, meet up for meals, participate in intramural sports leagues, and so much more. And, most importantly, we're For the Kids and For the Cure.
